Arun Bansal, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician who earned his Medical Degree from Windsor University College of Medicine, graduating in 2015. He then went on to complete his residency in Family Medicine in 2018 at the LSUHSC Family Medicine Ochsner Medical Center. At LSU Family Medicine, Dr. Bansal won the Resident of the Year award, Most Scholarly Resident, and was also nominated overall resident of the year for LSU and Tulane.
During his residency, Dr. Bansal volunteered with the New Orleans Mission Shelter with LSU Health Sciences and was a mentor with Son of A Saint.
Dr. Bansal joined Primary Care Alexandria with the VHC Physician Group in 2018. He has a particular clinical interest in outpatient procedures, prevention, and patient education. He is an advocate of patient education, and believes that patients’ own understanding of their health plays an important role in their overall wellbeing. Dr. Bansal is a member of the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians.
Originally from the DC area, Dr. Bansal is excited to move back to his hometown. He is currently accepting new patients.
