About Our Survey
The top goal of the Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group is putting the patient first in all we do. We aim to provide patients with the highest-quality care around a central focus of compassion and respect. As our patient, your feedback is an essential component of successfully achieving this goal. In order to measure how we are serving you well and where we can improve, we have partnered with a nationally recognized, independent patient satisfaction survey company, Press Ganey, to distribute, measure and provide results on your patient experience.
Who Receives Our Survey?
The Clinician and Group Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems, otherwise known as the CG-CAHPS survey is a tool to measure the patients’ perception of care provided by physicians in an outpatient office setting. The CG-CAHPS survey is randomly distributed to patients either electronically by email, or a hard copy is sent through the U.S. Post Office. Press Ganey manages the distribution process and selected patients will receive a formal survey within 1 – 2 weeks of their scheduled appointment with our practice.
By sharing your candid thoughts and feelings about your health care experience, we are able to either recognize our providers for their successes or implement change in areas where we can improve. We publish all positive and negative patient comments. All comments are carefully reviewed and we will not publish comments that are profane, slanderous or risk the privacy of our patients.
