Biography
Andrea Williams, MD, MPH, FACOG is a board-certified OB/GYN physician with the VHC Physician Group – OB/GYN.
Dr. Williams attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia for her undergraduate degree in Mathematics before graduating from Boston University School of Medicine in Massachusetts. While in medical school, Dr. Williams also pursued a Master’s Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health and International Health at Harvard University.
Dr. Williams moved to the DC area to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Williams has been practicing as an OB/GYN physician in the Northern Virginia area since 1994. She founded her own private practice in 1995, where she provided obstetric care and gynecological services to women at her practice’s location at Virginia Hospital Center. She joined Capital Women’s Care in 2015, before joining the VHC Physician Group in the fall of 2020.
Dr. Williams is a member of the Virginia Medical Society, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the National Medical Society, Adventures in Health, Education and Agricultural Development, Inc., and Jack and Jill of America. She has received a number of awards and recognitions over her years of practice, including Washingtonian’s Top Doctor Recognition in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2019.
Dr. Williams is fluent in English, Spanish, and Swahili. She is currently accepting new patients.
