Biography
Lauren Traub is a qualified and motivated nurse practitioner with strong and diverse clinical background.
A native of Michigan, Lauren graduated from Oakland University in Rochester Hills, MI a with Bachelor’s in Health Science and a Bachelor’s in Nursing. She went on to complete her education and training as a Nurse Practitioner at the University of Michigan, earning a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Before joining the Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group, she spent five years at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, MI as a Registered Nurse working in critical care and pediatrics settings. After working a Beaumont, she relocated to Maryland, and began working as a nurse practitioner treating adults in a small private internal medicine practice.
Lauren is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. She is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Lauren joined Primary Care McLean in 2016. She believes in a holistic and patient-centered approach to patient care, and partners with patients to enhance self-efficacy in achieving their health care goals. Her clinical interests include health promotion, disease prevention, health education and counseling.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys playing soccer, running, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
