Biography
Jana Barcelon is a Family Nurse Practitioner with Virginia Hospital Center- Primary Care. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Philippines and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Our Lady of Fatima University. She started her career in Healthcare as a Registered Nurse in 2009. Since then, she has worked in various hospitals in New York, Hawaii, and Texas. In 2019, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and became a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Before moving to Virginia in 2022, Jana worked in a Family Practice and Urgent Care Clinic in Killeen, Texas, caring for pediatric and adult patients. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is also a Certified Medical Examiner for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, either simply relaxing at home or traveling to different destinations and experiencing new adventures.
