Services

Executive Health at Virginia Hospital Center is designed for the busy executive. The program offers a complete set of health evaluations coordinated and scheduled in a single day, at a single location. The typical visit may consist of the following assessments and preventative strategies:

Core Services

Executive Health patrons have the opportunity to receive Core Services, a set of exams and diagnostic screening appropriate to their age, gender, and individual needs. These services include:

  • Detailed Medical History and Physical Examination by Internist (includes review of family conditions, basic lifestyle assessment (diet, stressors, alcohol/drug use), medicines being taken, and appointments scheduled)
  • Comprehensive Laboratory Screening Tests (blood and urine) to test for anemia, diabetes, thyroid, liver and kidney disease; also includes lipid panel to access cardiac and stroke risk factors
  • Testing for men also includes prostate exam and PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) screening
  • Basic Audiologic Screening
  • Resting Electrocardiogram (EKG) to test hearts electrical activity
  • Exercise Stress Test/ Exercise Stress Echocardiogram
  • Chest x-ray, to assess intrathoracic pulmonary abnormalities
  • Coronary Calcium Scan, a specialized CT scan that provides pictures of your heart than can enable your physician to detect and measure calcium-containing plaque in the arteries. For patients over 40 years of age
  • Final consult with Internist, including review of test results
  • Written Summary of evaluation and test results sent to patron’s home (and his/her Primary Care Physician, if requested) within 3-5 business day (some test results may take longer)

Select Services

Executive Health patrons may add a variety of additional exam services (self-referred with physician approval) to their itinerary. Select Services include:

  • Additional Lab Studies as indicated by screening or exam
  • Bone Mineral Density Test
  • Complete Audiogram by Audiologist
  • Consultation with Specialist (Dermatology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Urology, Colorectal Surgery, Cardiology, Otolaryngology, etc.)
  • Coronary Artery CT Scan
  • CT Scan of Thorax
  • Ear Wax Removal
  • Immunizations
  • 3D Mammogram
  • MRI of Joint(s), Brain or Spine
  • Evaluation of Heart Valve Function
  • Peripheral Vascular Disease Study
  • Abdominal Ultrasound
  • Carotid Artery Ultrasound
  • Pelvic Ultrasound
