Seema S. Nair, MD is a board-certified Family Physician who joined the VHC Physician Group in Fall 2016.
She graduated from University of Virginia before continuing her studies at the American University of the Caribbean in St. Marteen. Dr. Nair then completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, where she went on to receive the Community Health Award in 2005. From 2003 to 2005, Dr. Nair was elected as the University of Florida Family Medicine Residency Representative to the Florida Academy of Family Physicians.
Since completing her residency in 2005, Dr. Nair has practiced medicine at various Clinics and Practices in Virginia and Washington state. Outside of her practice, Dr. Nair enjoys volunteering, acting as a Physician Educator and Physician Volunteer for a variety of efforts. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians Member since 2002, and the Virginia Academy of Family Practice since 2006.
Dr. Nair’s goal in her practice is to better educate patients on their chronic illnesses, making them an active participant in their medical care, and to impart the importance and benefits of preventative care to the community. Dr. Nair is currently accepting new patients.
