Biography
Liane Guarnieri has always had an interest in maternal/newborn healthcare since she was young. While raising her three children, she went on to pursue a career in healthcare by obtaining a nursing degree. Liane worked for years as a Registered Nurse at Virginia Hospital Center in the Women and Infant Health Department. While working as a Registered Nurse, Liane went back to school and graduated with a Masters of Science in Nurse-Midwifery in 2020. She then took on the new role of Certified Nurse Midwife at a free-standing birth center. There she provided full-scope midwifery care that ranged from wellness exams, prenatal care, attending births, providing postpartum support and newborn care. Liane is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).
Liane is dedicated to providing care that optimizes one’s health and healing through evidence-based practices while incorporating natural, holistic methods. She enjoys working with individuals throughout the various life stages and working collaboratively on healthy decision making. Her areas of clinical interest include natural physiologic birth and labor support, postpartum wellness and mental health, breastfeeding, and trauma-informed care. Liane believes in meeting individuals where they are at and creating an environment that is inclusive, safe, and judgment free.
Liane is a life-long resident of Northern Virginia. She is married with three children, a dog, and a grandcat who stays at her home during her son’s college breaks. She loves spending time with her family going for hikes or having a game night. Other things that she loves include the beach, ice cream, baking, and reading.
