Katharine Burt, MD is a native of Pennsylvania who received her bachelor’s degree in pre-medical studies from Hawaii Pacific University in 2005, where she graduated with cum laude honors. She then went on to receive her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, graduating as Valedictorian in 2013. She completed her residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC in June 2017.
Before completing her residency, Dr. Burt gained experience working at several women’s health clinics and practices. While obtaining her undergraduate degree, Dr. Burt worked as a medical assistant at a women’s clinic in Hawaii. She went on to work as a Health Care Assistant at a Planned Parenthood in Pennsylvania, and as Medical Assistant at a private OB/GYN practice in the DC area.
Dr. Burt’s commitment to women’s healthcare brought her to joining the VHC Physician Group in the summer of 2017. She is a junior fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is currently accepting new patients.
In her free time, Dr. Burt enjoys knitting, baking, and cooking, as well as contributing to numerous charitable projects.
