Kate McCartan, MD received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame where she graduated with cum laude honors in 2007. She went on to receive her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2011, before completing her residency at Boston Medical Center/Boston University Family Medicine Residency in 2014.
Since completing her residency, Dr. McCartan has worked as an attending physician at Unity Health Care. She joined the VHC Physician Group – Primary Care Arlington in the fall of 2017. She has a particular clinical interest in women’s health and preventive care. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and is currently accepting new patients.
Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Dr. McCartan moved to the DC area for medical school, and is happy to be returning back to the area now. Outside of work, Dr. McCartan enjoys running, baking, reading, and traveling.
