Jessica Hardesty, MD is a board-certified, experienced OB/GYN provider who received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, graduating magna cum laude in 2004. She went on to attend Creighton University School of Medicine before completing her residency at Rush University Medical Center in 2013.
Since residency, Dr. Hardesty has worked as an OB/GYN physician at a private practice in Indiana, and at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. She moved down to the DC area in 2016, where she practiced medicine at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital until she joined VHC Physician Group – OB/GYN in the summer of 2019.
Dr. Hardesty believes that actively listening to her patients is at the heart of compassionate medical care. She approaches patient care with an empathetic ear, and emphasizes the importance of educating her patients about all potential treatment options. She works with her patients to come up with a treatment plan that works best for each individual patient and unique circumstances.
Dr. Hardesty has a particular clinical interest in obstetrics, abnormal pap smears and colposcopy, contraceptive management, and management of abnormal uterine bleeding. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Originally from Valparaiso, Indiana, Dr. Hardesty enjoys living in the DC area, but is still a Hoosier at heart. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, and cheering on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
