Biography
Chicquita White, DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC is originally from the peninsula of Virginia. She severed in the United States Army as a medic for several years. Following her enlistment, Chicquita attended Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2006. After working as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, she received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Cincinnati (Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner program) in 2011.
Interested in becoming a stronger nursing leader, researcher, and clinical provider in order to improve patient care and safety, Chicquita then earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Chatham University in 2020. In addition, Chicquita has dedicated her time to the nursing profession as a preceptor and adjunct clinical nursing instructor.
Chicquita loves caring for all women throughout the life span with a special interest in obstetrics and adolescent preventative care. She currently has Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications. She is a proud member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated (professional nursing organization), the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH), and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).
In her spare time, she enjoys mentoring nursing students, traveling to the Caribbean, photography, as well as foreign medical missionary work in Haiti.
